Bringing the evolution of the Base Layer 4 to a new level, the warp knitting seamless technology has been improved by the introduction of two smart fabrics: the Emana® and the Hollow Fiber.

 

The Emana® yarn is an organic ceramic polyamide yarn, which enhances micro circulation and oxygenation during physical activity allowing for a better thermoregulation and moisture exchange rate. To increase thermal capabilities while maintaining a low volume we have introduced the Hollow Fiber which allows functional insulation and reduced water load thanks to the hollow core structure that traps warm air, the best heat retainer.

 

The Base Layer has greater elasticity and lower resistance to movement in all directions due to the warp knitting seamless machine’s ability to eliminate seams from all parts of multiple tubes (with the exception of a small joining stitch at the top of the shoulders). This is unlike other base layers, which generally require stitches to join the sleeves to the body and are also hemmed.

 

The proprietary ‘honey-comb’ pattern of the knit is deployed in various different densities and is coupled with open-mesh sections mapping the thermal requirements and regional sweat rates of an athlete’s body. Not only does this allow for ideal rider comfort and protection, it also allows for the volume of the product to be significantly reduced where possible.

 

The weight of 115g is the result of the design, it was not an objective. This piece of Equipment is best used above -3°C.
