I've been off biking for 2 years and used to work at a sporting goods shop as a bike mechanic for years before that. I don't know if socks have just gotten way better or these are just a totally exceptional product, but they are the best cycling socks I've ever owned by far. There is a left and right, with thin toe box and a tiny bit more padding under the ball of the foot. The upper is a sort of mesh weave that wicks and dry super fast. I've worn them about a dozen times and they aren't wearing on the ball, heel or anywhere yet. I wash them in the shower with my bibs and hang them. I've got a lot of new Rapha gear but will have to try a Gobik kit after seeing how thoughtfully these are put together.
Additionally, Roadkit was very fast to ship and seems like a very good Canadian company.
